Every frame is built to a standard print size — 4×6, 5×7, 8×10, 11×14, 16×20 and up — and the size in the name is the frame size, not the outer edge. “Matted to 8×10” means the mat window is cut for an 8×10 print inside an 11×14 frame; lift the mat out and the same frame takes an 11×14 print edge to edge.

Three numbers sit under the size picker on this page and follow whichever size you choose: the print size it displays, the true mat opening (about ¼ inch smaller than the print, so no edge shows) and the real outer size of the frame. Measure your print and match it to the print size — or to the frame size if you want it unmatted. The full pairing table is in the Size Guide.

Right size, guaranteed. If it still isn’t the size you needed, email help@americanflat.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and the size you want. We send a prepaid return label and ship the new size at no extra cost — the original just needs to be unused and in its packaging.

It depends on the frame. Most use shatter-resistant glazing — optically clear, lightweight, and far safer than glass around kids and pets. Larger frames and posters use plexiglass for the same reasons, and a few classic styles use real glass. The glazing for each frame is listed in its details above.

Every frame ships ready to hang — sawtooth and D-ring hardware included — plus a self-leveling adhesive bumper. Stick the bumper to a bottom corner before hanging; it grips the wall so the frame sits flush and won't tilt, even after a bump.

Yes — our gallery and multi-pack sets share matching finishes and standardized outer dimensions, so they hang with even, consistent spacing. Lay the pieces out on the floor to settle on an arrangement, then transfer it to the wall.

Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery, unopened, unused and in their original packaging with the packing slip enclosed. Return shipping is your responsibility; you may purchase a flat $12.95 return shipping label from us. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
